Step In The Arena - success!

So once the dust settled from the FUN premier. It was home for a few zz's and then up bright and early to load up some ramps and obstacles (in the pouring rain!) for our big event at the Kerrisdale Arena.

The moring started... with some free lessons for the local kids hosted by BLVD team riders Mark and Nelson. About 20 kids showed up and got the chance to test out the obstacles.

This custom built baby was one of the favorites. Two 8ft wide banks with granite on top. Mmmm delicious..

We also threw our granite benches into the mix along with 6 other peices and we were set for a good day of skateboarding Canadian style in an old hockey rink!

I'd estimate around 50 people showed up to skate with lots of kids and parents watching in the stands. The best part of it all was that most just seemed happy to have a dry place to skate with their bro's. The contest element hardly factored into it although some pretty amazing skating did go down from the likes of : Stacey Gabriel,Stash,Hashbrown,Adam Hopkins, Giver, Klinkhammer, Des, AJ, Nelson, Corey Klim, Mark J, T Ferg, and many more.

If this doesn't show you how bad we need an indoor for the winters then I don't know what does ;)
